Since 1996, William D. Jones, MD, has worked as a physician focusing on occupational and primary preventive medicine in Oklahoma City, OK. From late 1998 to early 2000, he was medical director of the Department of Occupational Medicine at Norman Regional Hospital, also in OK. Before going into private practice, William D. Jones, MD, was a part-time physician at the Advanced Physician’s Group - MedPlus Family and Occupational Medicine Centers.

William D. Jones, MD, earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University. He went on to obtain his medical degree from Brown University and his master’s degree in public health from the University of Oklahoma.

He completed his internship at Trinity Lutheran Hospital’s Department of Family Medicine and his residency training at the University of Oklahoma’s Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. As chief resident during the final year of his postdoctoral training, he received accolades from the American Medical Association’s Leadership Program as Outstanding Resident of the Year.

An animal lover when not caring for humans, Dr. Jones has an Airedale terrier and is involved with his local 4-H organization and Irish Setter Club. Having lived in France on two separate occasions, he is fluent in French. Also conversant in Spanish, he uses his language skills to communicate with patients and when he is traveling.
